Designer gifts handcrafted with care
An online showcase of the finest creative talent from the Overberg region.
Founders and long-time Overberg residents, Natalie van Wulven and Jeannie Harning, have a passion for both the region and its community. So it was only natural that their social responsibility focus should widen to also embrace its numerous artists.
Overberg Emporium’s mission is two-fold: To identify and actively nurture existing and new creative talent from the region; and to provide a platform where their unique talents can be shared with the world.
From majestic fynbos-covered mountains hugging the crashing seas, to rolling hills blazing canola yellow in the midday heat. From wild horses playing in the morning light, to Southern Right whales breaching to our delight. Few regions in South Africa can rival the magnificent Overberg for its diversity of fauna and flora.
It’s a diversity that finds expression in the people of the region too. A diversity that inspires the creation of beautiful things that reflect our surroundings. At Overberg Emporium we take pride in supporting our local artists by giving them an online platform to showcase their unique work to South Africa and the world.
Want to sell through us? We’re always looking for exciting new Overberg artists to represent.
Have a look at our shop. If your work is in keeping with our creative standards and design ethic, give us a call. We’d love to meet.
Just an hour from Cape Town, hugging both mountain and sea, starts the Overberg, an area of unequalled natural splendour at the southern tip of Africa.
It’s home to the 100 000-hectare UNESCO designated Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve, unmatched in biodiversity with over 1 880 different plant species.
Home to Clarence Drive, voted the most scenic drive in the world. Home to Southern Right whales who visit in winter; and African penguins who stay all year round.
A place of Fynbos and fine wine, canola fields and wheat. It’s a region as diverse as it is unique. Others call it the Overberg, we call it home.
